Alexis Maternity

We first met Ryan and Alexis two years ago when they asked me to do some fun couple photos for them, since then Alexis has been in our photos as a bridesmaid and now as a Mom to be!
Alexis wanted to have some photos done to make her "love her baby body" and we were more than happy to oblige. Fortunately we also had time to sneak in some fun and ridiculous photos which perfectly capture the personalities of this awesome couple!
(Ryan and Alexis have since had a beautiful baby girl, Avery. Congratulations!!!)

Meredith

I get the privilege of working with Meredith at MAC, but she's been on mat leave for the arrival of baby Ivy, who is still a bun in the oven when these photos took place. The character below is Stella, who has enough personality for an entire town of children, and who loves the camera ferociously. But it's okay since she's probably the cutest thing to grace the planet since Shirley Temple.

Mike and Christiane

Photographing Mike and Christiane's wedding in Cuba was a definite highlight of my year. Everything was so beautiful, blue skies, flowers, pillars, sunsets.........so fun! There were about 30 wedding guests, all awesome, which made for a beautiful, intimate wedding and even better vacation (there was always someone to play water polo or beach badminton with!). Here are some of my favorite photos.

Cuban resort breakfast, the little side dish of chocolate sauce is not in the photo.

Reason #1 why beach weddings are so awesome - you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage while waiting for the ceremony to start!

After taking this photo I showed it to Christiane. Her reaction? Saying "It's so beautiful" and then bursting into tears. I don't go out of my way to make our brides cry but I did have a little 'Yay Me!' moment.
When we stopped at the room after the ceremony we found that the maids had decorated the room for Mike and Christiane. They even used her veil on the little towel bride they made. Cute!
I was so excited to do some beach sunset photos! The challenge? Getting everything done quickly as the sun sets really fast, watching the tide to make sure it did not soak my battery pack (or me), and hollering at wandering tourists to keep them out of my shot. I am really happy with the results and loved every minute of it though! Many thanks to Christiane's Dad, Gaston, who held my battery pack out of the water.

I'm still not sure where the animal print coat came from but you had to wear it before you did a speech!

Chicken Dance!
More funny than Mike's face in this photo is the guys in the background!
I still have the sand in my light bag to remind me of all the good times (although it annoys Aspen). Thanks again friends!!
