Ashton and Tyler

It's funny how after each wedding Penny and I feel a mix of exhaustion coupled with the anticipation of the photo download. Sunday is sacred for me, especially after a wedding. I wake up, my husband makes me coconut pancakes (our post-wedding breakfast arrangement), and then I get to look at the magical whirlwind that was the day before.

There are so many great things I can say about Ashton and Tyler's wedding. The drive out to the site was picturesque and peaceful. The property on all accounts was idyllic and dewy, and the tent let in beautiful, buttery light that set the tone for the whole day. We have to say thanks to them for so many things, but the thing I will say thanks the most for is for climbing into the spider infested decrepit truck, even though the photos didn't work out. You are both champions, just so you know. Congrats to you both, and thanks for having us!

And the award goes to Ashton for the most unconventional shoes.... Zombies??? Awesome.

 Suspicious, no?

This is one sexy look the groomsman is giving Penny/the camera. It made me laugh out loud!

Can you imagine how many spiders are in this truck? Double that. SO gross.
This rail bridge reminded me of my no-tolerance on heights policy... nauseating! For me, not for Penny. She kicked off her shoes and hopped around the bridge like a little cat. And I'm not even jealous. Man do I hate heights!

Tricia and Kelly

I've been so excited to post these photos that I could barely wait until I showed the bride! This wedding was charming for so many reasons. From the lovely Nicola Gavins having a hand in everything from the make-up to the decorations, the dynamic duo of Nikki and Tricia ensured an amazing atmosphere and a delightful palette to the day. Kelly's charming expressions and Tricia's elegant poise made this shoot a little too easy, although I'm definitely NOT complaining. And they are available to plan your next wedding, should you want the help! Thanks to Flur on 124st for the flowers, and Anthropologie's Beholden for the wedding dress.... plus the band is Gypsy Jive, who's fiddler Cam also played me down the aisle. What a small, charming world.

Might be the best bouquet yet?

Love this shot, not sure why

This is how couples with 2 year olds get married.... lol

I loved the whole palette of the day... peaches and creams, mint and yellows.....

Diana's pleasure when eating this peach was adorable

I love Tricia's ankles in this one below. How weird am I?
Beautiful light this day, just a touch of fill with a Alien bee 1600 and an unbrella on a low setting...
 Charming, handsome men...
No I did NOT intend to make marriage look like chains, but they do complement eachother nicely, don't they?
This was a two seater bike Kelly borrowed from a client and it's probably my fav prop I've ever seen!

This might be one of the most charming venues I've ever seen, you NEED to check out the Yellowhead Brewery for your next event!

I love the light here on Nikki and Vera <3
This little boy was so in love with his mom's hair, he had his arms wrapped all in it up to his elbows!

The guy below was the pied piper, I swear he had all the little children wrapped around his finger... literally

The littlest girl is Vera and she's the 2 year old daughter of Kelly and Tricia. She might be my most favorite child yet.

Maya danced all night for my camera, I think she might grow up to be a model... and I will take full advantage of that!
